Åhlens dismantles the stores in Norway, but is now focusing on Scandinavian e-commerce on a large scale starting next year.
In line with this strategy comes the creation of a new service e-commerce manager.
“There is a great potential for Åhléns with digital sales, which I look forward to further development,” says Cecilia Mortimer Meurling who’s been appointed for the position.
Cecilia Mortimer Meurling comes from a position as Head of Digital Health at Schibsted Publishing where she worked as chief of Aftonbladet’s digital channel for a long time.
“Åhléns is in an exciting stage where we are now facing the launch of e-commerce in the beginning of next year. Cecilia will play an important role towards our long term goal, to become Sweden’s best omnichannel retail. Her solid experience in digital sales and product development will be a great asset for Åhléns, ” says acting CEO Stefan Danieli, Åhléns AB.
Cecilia Mortimer Mourning will take her new position in spring in 2016.
