Beijer Bygg buys competitor Persson Byggcentrum in Alingsås and Vårgårda in the west of Sweden.
”It is a company we looked at for a long time. The staff are what we pay for, they are the ones who create value and one of the reasons for the purchase”, says CEO Anders Jakobsson to Alingsås tidning.
Beijer Bygg already has a unit in Alingsås. But it will not be used as before.
”We will combine both stores, starting from old Persson Byggcentrum. There is no point having two stores that compete with each other.
Perssons Byggcentrum has 35 employees. Sales in 2012 was over 140 million SEK.
Beijer Construction Material now have ten stores in western Sweden. This acquisition continues taking Beijer to a leading role in the consolidation of the construction trade in Sweden.
Persson’s Building Center is the fourth acquisition for Beijer since 2012 after the purchase of facilities in Arvika, Kiruna and Gällivare.
