Borås is the home of many Swedish e-commerce companies.
Now, the trading council of the city wants to create a concept outlet for e-tailers.
50 Swedish companies have been asked to join.
The property would be a place where c-commerce meets the physical retail. The strategy is to offer a traditional store space with own staff or an outsourced solution. The trade council has sent a letter to major e-commerce companies with personal follow ups from the the city’s business department.
”We look at Borås as the Swedish e-commerce city and the trade council wants to benefit from this. A concept outlet for e-commerce would be unique in Sweden and attract consumers from outside Borås”, says business developer Victoria Johansson.
The trade council consists of real estate representatives from the city centre and Knalleland, Knalleland’s centre management, the city of Borås, and Viared corporate association.
