Border trade specialist EuroCash reports record sales in December.
The store in Stromstad had a sales increase of 13 percent.
“Concerns about Norwegian-Swedish cross-border shopping is created by the media,” says Henrik Almqvist, marketing manager at EuroCash.

The Norwegian krone was at its lowest level against the Swedish on December 16 when border trade peaked.
But EuroCash had its best December ever.
“Good weather, good Norwegian economy and proximity to the Swedish liqeur monopoly Systembolaget, are contributing factors that we have had such a good month. It remains favorable to shop in Sweden if one is smart and know what you can save money on, “says Henrik Almqvist to Dagligvarehandelen.
“We did not notice the weaker exchange rate in our sales,” he notes.
