Byggmax reports a sales increase of ten percent for the last quarter.
Now the emphasis targets Finland, e-commerce and services.
Total sales increased by ten percent compared to the same quarter last year. The strongest month of the quarter was December.
“The mild weather in the quarter gave a positive impact on sales,” comments CEO Magnus Agervald.
Market trends in Norway and Sweden have been weaker in the quarter compared with the entire 2014. In the Finnish market, uncertainty remains about the economic development.
“The fact that we continue to gain market share in our categories shows the strength of Byggmax’ concept. With an expanded network of stores, we reach more consumers in Sweden, Norway and Finland.”
Byggmax has opened seven new stores during 2014. For 2015 Byggmax aims to open 7-13 new stores.
Byggmax has a number of investment areas: Expansion in Finland, e-commerce and construction services. The chain also increases the retail product range to the new store concept 2.0. During the quarter, 15 stores were converted and during the year a total of 35 stores were converted. In the spring of 2015, the plan is to convert another 20-30 stores.
