Dunkin’ Donuts’ first locations in Sweden are now public.
The café chain will go with Unibail-Rodamco and open in Täby Centrum and in Mall of Scandinavia.
”Leasing costs are extremely high”, says CEO Tommy Svensson.
Swedish master franchiser Coffee and brands has a deal to open 30-50 units in Sweden within five years.
Recently they explained their strategy to start in the Stockholm area for logistic reasons. But to find locations for a flagship has been tough and Tommy Svensson says the price levels on leasing are “sick”.
The first opening will now be in the popular suburb centre Täby Centrum.
”Hopefully we can open another unit in Stockholm area before the end of this year – but Täby will be first”, Tommy Svensson tells Fastighetsvärlden.
The units in Täby and Mall of Scandinavia are both 100 square meters, but Tommy Svensson has declared a wide range of store-sizes.
