May was a better month for electronics in Sweden this year.

Sales were 2.7 percent higher than in May last year.

The accumulated sales recovered thus slightly and is below the first five months 2.8 percent lower than the same period of 2014.

”The Swedes remained in the stores. Interest in action cameras, audio products and large TV screens are stronger”, says Klas Elm CEO of the Swedish electronics industry.

TV’s larger than 43 inches is 11 percent above last year’s figures and audio products 23 percent over the period January to May. This year’s sensation, action cameras, have a sales accumulated in the year over 30 percent higher than the same period of 2014.

Mobile phone sales are increasing slightly and is still above last year’s sales, 0.8 percent so far this year.
