Føtex’ bakeries are popular for bread-bags in the weekend or for job-meetings.
Now the chain launches a special app for pre-orders – and a VIP-queue when they are picked up in-store.
Customers in Føtex in Skejby and Viby be the first in Denmark to pre-book and pay for their morning bread with a special bakery-app – and then join a VIP-queue in-store for prepaid products
To buy a bag of bread and cakes for 50 DKK, has long been popular with families on weekends and customers who take bread along to their colleagues. Now Dansk Supermarked launches a new so-called Order & Pay app for Føtex-bakery in collaboration with Danske Bank and the Danish software company Trifork.
Kenneth Nielsen, director of e-commerce and digital in Dansk Supermarked, is sure the app is a success.
”You order your morning deal through the app and tell where and when to collect the goods. Payment is made via MobilePay, which opens automatically. When approved amount, you will get a receipt that you only have to show when you pick up the goods from Føtex-baker,” says Kenneth Nielsen.
To make the experience even more attractive, Føtex arranges a quick queue for the customers who just need to get their pre-ordered items.
In recent weeks, the bakery app has been tested internally in the two Aarhus Føtex-department stores in Viby Center and in Skejby Center. The test was conducted smoothly and therefore Kenneth Nielsen now unleashed the app to customers.
”At first, we let customers in Viby and Skejby test app to get their input before we roll out the solution in our other stores. But I am quite sure that this will gain ground – in other contexts. Consumers have a great desire to save time, where possible,” says Kenneth Nielsen.
