Göran Bille steps down as CEO Gina Tricot, 1.5 years after he took office.
“I work in February, so on Tuesday I’m not there.” Göran Bille tells Borås Tidning.
Instead, he becomes industrial advisor of the owner Nordic Capital.
His contract as CEO ran throughout 2016, but he’s made a decision to leave in advance.
“I have received an opportunity to work in major projects in Nordic Capital, as industrial advisor. It is about investments in companies that have a bigger turnover than Gina Tricot. My knowledge is in retail. ” he tells the paper.
60-year-old Goran Bille feel finished with the operational missions.
At the same time, he thinks that it remains a lot to do in Gina Tricot.
“It has so far been about getting a new structure in place and we have for example invested in digital marketing. 2015 was a tough year for retailing in general. So even for Gina Tricot. We have a growing online shopping where customer loyalty is declining. It is a more complex world. ”
The recruitment of Göran Bille’s successor has begun and in the meantime, the company is led by the Head of Administration, Per-Johan Swartling.
Private equity company Nordic Capital currently has holdings in Ellos Group and Gina Tricot within fashion retail and Norwegian Europris and Finnish Tokmanni within discount retail.
