Stadium’s former CEO, Gustaf Öhrn, has been recruited as the new CEO of department store chain Åhléns.
“It will be extremely exciting to be on the trip to take a strong brand like Åhlens into a new phase,” says Gustaf Öhrn.
Gustaf Öhrn has good experience from leading positions in retail and in working with strong brands. As CEO of Stadium, he has successfully been instrumental in taking the chain to the leading position it has today.
“Åhléns has a long history and is one of the strongest and most valued retail businesses. The retail sector is undergoing rapid change, changed buying habits and digitalisation create new possibilities and I look forward to working with my new colleagues and successfully lead Åhléns in this changing world, ” says Gustaf Öhrn.
Gustav started his career at H&M and has also been CEO of J. Lindeberg AB.
He is currently a board member of the clothing companies Acne Studios, KappAhl, Noa Noa and Eton.

Stefan Danieli, CFO of Åhléns, continues in the role of acting CEO until Gustaf Öhrn take his position in June, 2016.
