Runar Hollevik becomes the most powerful director in Norwegian retail.
He will succeed Tommy Korneliussen as CEO of Norgesgruppen who quits this year – and therefore decide over about half of the food sold in Norway and have great impact over Dagrofa in Denmark.
Runar Hollevik is 48 years old, started in Norgesgruooen in 2000, and has been Managing Director of Asko Norway AS since 2008, and by that been part of the corporate management.
CEO Tommy Korneliussen has as previously informed, opted to quit in 2016. He welcomes the choice of successor and wish him good luck.
”Hollevik knows the company well and is in all respects well equipped to lead the group forward,” says Korneliussen.
Runar Hollevik made a regular statement in a press release that he looks forward to this task with great humility and is grateful he has received such a possibility.
”Now it will be important to spend more time on the other business areas and to gain a greater overall understanding. I can not wait to spend more time with merchants – it will be fun,” says the newly appointed CEO to magazine Dagligvarehandelen.
He starts his job on June 17.
