ICA ended 2016 with a 3.6 percent sales increase compared to last year’s December – and a total increase for 2015 by 3.8 percent. The hypermarket concept Maxi held up the numbers – and was also the best performer in 2015.

Sales in the Swedish ICA stores rose by 3.6 percent in December 2015 compared with the corresponding month last year. Sales in like-for-like stores increased by 2.8 percent.

In December 2015, sales in the Swedish ICA stores totalled SEK 10,335 million excluding VAT. Sales in January-December 2015 amounted to 108,353 million SEK, an increase of 3.8 percent compared with the previous year.

At 31 December 2015, the number of ICA stores in Sweden was 1,306. Store sales for January will be published on 8 February 2016 at 08.45 CET.
