Ica’s sales of organic products continues to increase. In the first quarter, sales of organic food grew by 59 percent compared to the same quarter last year. The percentage of organics in the central range is now 4.5 percent *.
Ica’s own organic line line I love eco increased by 90 per cent during the same period. One of the products that increased the most are organic lemons.
”Demand for organic products is growing steadily, and for us it is important to continue to expand the product range to help customers make sustainable and healthy choices. In 2015 we started to introduce ecological innovations in dairy shelves and now we continue with, among other things, an expanded pasta assortment,” says Anders Svensson, CEO of ICA Sweden AB.
