Göran Bille leaves Lindex after 10 years as the CEO, and the Stockmann Board of Directors has appointed Ingvar Larsson as the new CEO.
Ingvar Larsson has been Design and Purchasing Director at Lindex since June 2013, and was Lindex Country Manager for Sweden in 2010-2013. He has previously also held several management positions at H&M.
“It feels both fun and exciting! I will continue on the path that has led us to the current position as a leading fashion company. We have a lot of exciting things to look forward to; we will soon celebrate Lindex 60 years, and we have worked hard to become even clearer in our offering to our customers, brand work that I have been very involved in. We will continue to expand internationally and this week we announced a design collaboration with iconic Jean-Paul Gaultier ,” says the new CEO Ingvar Larsson.
Göran Bille will leave his CEO position immediately but will be available for the fashion chain during the period of notice.
“During Göran Bille’s ten years as the CEO, Lindex has grown into one of the leading fashion chains in Europe. I would like to thank Göran for his excellent work in leading the fashion chain’s international expansion. Ingvar Larsson has already proven his abilities in the Lindex management team. I am confident that under his leadership Lindex will continue on its successful journey, developing into a global, world-class brand,” says Hannu Penttilä, CEO of Stockmann.
