Coop Denmark’s premium concept Irma’s online store will now deliver to whole Denmark.
”The growing interest in buying quality groceries online is currently spreading from Copenhagen to the entire country, “says Jesper Wacherhausen, commercial director of Irma.dk.
So far, Irma’s online store only delivered daily in the metropolitan area, and also regularly Zealand and the main towns on the island of Funen and Jutland. But now it expands its distribution to all cities across main Denmark.
“This is a very significant step towards providing online grocery shopping in its golden age in Denmark,” says commercial director Jesper Wacherhausen, Irma.dk.
“The reason is primarily that we through the past year have received many inquiries from customers all over Denmark. In addition, through our cooperation with Post Denmark it is possible to do it at an affordable price. Finally, we are seeing a general growing interest in buying quality groceries online, and that this interest is currently spreading from Copenhagen to the entire country, “says Jesper Wacherhausen.
The delivery fees range from 24 to 79 DKK, with the highest fees for the countryside.
For the past year Irma.dk had a revenue increase of about 80 percent. With the new expansion of the distribution it is expected that sales over the coming year doubled.
