Kesko launches a new retail center site to be opened in spring 2016 in Tampere at Tesoma.
The facilities will be built for the new K-supermarket and the City of Tampere’s health and library services, as well as approximately ten other retail trading and service companies. The project investment is approximately 30 million EUR. The new business center will be opened in the autumn of 2017.
The new service center will have a retail space of approximately 12 000 square meters, of which the city’s health and library services will lease 4 900 square meters. The new K-supermarket has access to 3 200 square meters of space and other trade and service companies are dedicated 3 800 square meters.
Construction of the project will begin in the spring of 2016, Kesko’s aim is to open the doors to customers in the autumn of 2017. The site where the current K-supermarkets property is located will then be renovated, connected to the new building and rented out for business purposes. This project will be completed in the spring of 2018
”Tesoma project is a good example of building a future where both trade and public sector services are integrated into serving customers as a whole,” says Kesko’s District Director Jari Alanen.
Currently the occupancy rate is about 75 percent.
