Bed specialist SengeSpecialisten is now part of Dyne-Larsen’s vast empire. Larsen takes over a chain of 11 bed shops on Funen and Jutland . The plan is to make it nationwide, by extending it to Sealand, and subsequently expand overseas.
Lars Larsen Group, with an annual revenue of over 21 billion. kr., already owns Jysk, Ilva, Idemøbler and Bolia.com.
”We are already experts in everything for a good night’s sleep, and with the acquisition of SengeSpecialisten, we can now offer customers even more choices,” Larsen says in a statement.
Founder of the chain Jørgen Bebe Staal and CEO. Dir. Brian Nielsen retains a small stake in the company, and the chain will be taken forward as an independent brand.
”We have many happy customers in Jutland and on Funen, and therefore we are pleased to be nationwide and thus reach even more with our bed solutions,” says President. Director Brian Nielsen.
Lars Larsen says countries like the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden have large nationwide specialty shops for bed solutions in the segment that SengeSpecialisten addressed. Now he warns them for new competition if they choose to target Denmark.
” I am convinced that we can do a nationwide success out of bed specialist – and later set up stores abroad”, says Lars Larsen.
The parties will not disclose details of the deal.
