Lidl opened its 144 Finnish store on Thursday – the second in Jyväskylä and CEO Lauri Sipponen is already planning for a third and a fourth.
“We are excited to have a new store in Jyväskylä, since the number of clients increases, with the current retail network, it is challenging to maintain the desired level, Lauri Sipponen says.
The new Jyväskylä store was presented to local residents in the area with an opening night.
“In two hours, we had over 400 guests. People were in good spirits, and welcomed us to Jyväskylä. This is a good start,” says Rautiainen.
”We are looking for suitable store locations, especially in the growth centers, such as the metropolitan area, Tampere, Turku and Oulu regions,” says Lauri Sipponen adding Lidl is also investing in modernization, extensions, and other development activities in the existing store network.
”We strive to make every part of the shopping convenient for our Finnish customers,” says Lidl’s CEO.
