For the first time it will be possible to reserve a table at McDonald’s.

The initiative is part of a campaign for a new hamburger.

Starting Tuesday, at selected restaurants around the country customers can reseserve a table and get table service.

Sweden is the first in the world to offer table reservations at McDonald’s. Dinner sittings are possible to book apply during selected days starting 22 September.

”We want to give burger lovers a unique experience at McDonald’s. Our new Maestro Classic is a really good quality burger, so we want to launch it in a fun and exclusive way. Therefore, we let our guests try the gourmet hamburger by reserving a table and feel extra welcome to us,” says Staffan Ekstam, director of menu strategy and product development at McDonald’s Sweden.

Table reservation will be possible on more than 30 McDonald’s restaurants from north to south. Society will be served a two course menu with the new gourmet burger as main course. Table reservation is made in collaboration with Bookatable.se.

”We help everything from neighborhood restaurants, local favorites to fine Michelin restaurants with their table reservation. Therefore we are happy when McDonald’s Sweden would be the first in the world to offer table reservations at their restaurants for a limited period,” says Jonas Carlen, Commercial Director at Bookatable Sweden.
