DT Group, the largest buildingware retail actor in the Nordics, has a new President, the Stark-CEO Søren P Olesen.
But only for the next 12 months.
“As Søren P. Olesen must hold two major CEO positions over the next year, our owner Wolseley will wait before they make the position permanent,” says CFO Søren Strøm.
DT Group owner, British Wolseley, has made the CEO position “interim in a 12-month transitional phase”reports Finans.dk.
“It is quite natural, that Søren P Olesen has been asked to perform on two CEO positions for a limited period. This preserves the continuity of the positive development for Stark while he takes the important position as CEO of a very large Nordic group.” says Søren Strøm in a written reply to Finans.dk.
Søren P Olesen might be DT Group’s new chief executive also in a longer time perspective. Wolseley President Ian Meakins has announced that “Søren is a strong leader, who in a short time in a difficult market has managed to create results. This is a great opportunity for Søren, and I have confidence that he will show his ability to take the role of CEO for DT Group full time. ”
But it won’t be Ian Meakins who decides about Olesen’s future career, as he will resign after the summer and be succeeded by current CFO John Martin, who joined Wolseley in 2010.
