The last floor is ready to open in Fredrriksberg on Thursday – and with the new tenants, FRB.C Shopping points out Strøget as its main competitor instead of nearby Rødøvre.
The additional floor will strengthen Frederiksberg in the battle for customers with Strøget, Rødovre Centrum, Spinderiet in Valby and the future Galleria Centre in Vanløse.
“The rebuilding has cost just over 500 million DKK. We dedicate 10,000 square meters of additional selling space by 25 new stores, and we’ve got 8,000 square meters extra parking, so we go from 300 to 450 places, “says property manager Eva Handest from Danica Pension to business.dk.
Danica owns two-thirds of the mall and Doctors’ Pension Fund the last third.
Frederiksberg Centre, FRB.C Shopping, consider the inner city centre and high streets to be main competitors before nearby expanded shopping places like Rødovre Centre and Spinderiet.
Eva Handest points out that new tenants include several brands which usually prefer big shopping streets, such as Suits, the H&M brands & Other Stories and Cos and Tinderbox with designer clothing for children.
The extra floor has been fully leased half a year before the opening.
