Last spring Täby municipality held an allocation competition for two unestablished land properties in Arninge: Tumstocken and Arninge entrance. Award decision has now been made for the corner plot Tumstocken, some 10 000 square meters of buildingright at the entrance to the trade area. The interest has been high.

”It is great that many are interested in the area and understand what potential it has. Now we begin the detailed work to develop a more pleasant and more accessible Arninge”, says , project manager for Arninge-Ullna.

ICA, which in the current situation has a Kvantum store in Arninge, will build a modern and environmentally certified Maxi hypermarket with Apotek Hjärtat and other services.

”It is gratifying to be a part of the development of Täby’s new neighborhood. We will create conditions for a modern venue with a focus on trade and service for all who live and work in this expansive part of Täby,” says Lena Boberg, CEO of ICA Real Estate.

The area Arninge-Ullna is an expanding part of Täby and is within a 15-year period set to develop into a vibrant neighborhood that offers retail, services and housing. When the area is completed, there will be just over 2 000 housing units there.
A first step is the development of the trade area Arninge that will serve as a regional center for trade, services and hub for public transport.
The planned travel center, with a new station on Roslagsbanan, becomes a hub to facilitate commuting to and from neighboring municipalities.

The ICA Maxi store will also offer online trading and Drive Thru.
The car park will have space for 600 parking spaces and offer charging stations for electric cars to visitors who travel by electric car. In conjunction with the new ICA Maxi store opening will the ICA Kvantum Arninge be closed.

The building will be certified under the Green Building. Preliminary construction start in 2017 and is scheduled for completion in the fall 2018th

ICA Fastigheter owns adjoining property Tumstocken 9 where Granngården is a tenant. ICA Real Estate’s total area in Arninge will thus be 18,000 square meters.
