Despite seven new stores, Clas Ohlson’s sales decreased in March. The big drop came in Norway – even in local currency.
Sales decreased by 5 percent in March to 489 MSEK (515). In local currencies, sales decreased by 2 percent. Sales in March was negatively affected by a calendar effect of about 6 percentage points, due to fewer trading days compared with the previous year.
Compared with the same month previous year, the net store portfolio was expanded by seven stores. At the end of the period, the total number of stores was 205.
Total sales during the first eleven months of the fiscal year (May 2015 to March 2016) increased by 4 percent to 7,082 MSEK (6,824). In local currencies, sales increased by
6 percent.
