The e-commerce service offering has been under the spotlight for a while.
Now a newspaper distributor launches morning deliveries six days a week.
“We look forward to challenge the market leader PostNord. We have something they do not have, “says Anette Jarlmark, Business Development Manager at MTD.
She says it is their well established and elaborate distribution network, used mainly for morning papers that form the basis for the new service.
“We reach the country’s mailboxes early every morning six days a week.”
The target group is e-retailers and mail order companies who want to give their customers a more customized delivery than what the market has so far been able to offer. The main advantage compared to other services is the ability to deliver lighter products directly to the consumer. Either in the mailbox or in a bag on the door on any given day.
“If the customer does not need not go to collection points, we know is an advantage. We are sure that many will appreciate getting their packages delivered at the threshold of the door early in the morning, before going to work, ” says Anette Jarlmark.
Each shipment is traceable throughout the chain for both the customer and the supplier. Upon delivery, the customer receives a delivery confirmation via SMS or email.
The service is called MTD Postlådepaket and will be launched in late February.
