The largest Nordic logistics company PostNord plans for an e-commerce showroom together with a pickup-point opening in 2016.
”The concept is still in a startup point, but the idea is that, for example, offering online merchants an opportunity to market themselves both physically and digitally.” says Maria Ibsen, press officer at PostNord.
This would follow international initiatives, but PostNord does not tell much about the project when asked about it by e-commerce news site ehandel.se
”PostNord constantly trying to help develop and operate e-commerce together with our customers, dispatch, and a flagship store can be an option,” says Maria Ibsen.
Norwegian newssite Netthandel.no also asked the Norwegian branch of Postnord whether a similar pilot would open i Norway. The Nordic trial with parcel delivery boxes in the company were first provided in Oslo.
”Our different solutions and our partnership with our customers in a “omnichannel-setting” – is initially in the Swedish market,” says Kristin Anfindsen, Development eCommerce in PostNord Norway, to Netthandel.no.
