After the merge between Starkki and Puukeskus up to 100 people will lose their jobs.
The brands will go on as before, but eight offices will be combined.
Due to overlapping functions of the reorganization. The number of employees is expected to decrease with up to 100 people as a result of negotiations .
Business offices will be combined in the following locations: Jyväskylä, Lappeenranta, Joensuu, Vaasa, Lohja, Pori, Turku, Helsinki – Herttoniemi. As the chain management overlaps operations will be concentrated into Lahtis and Helsinki. All individual personnel reductions will be specified later.
”The operations continues in all locations. Offices in the Puukeskus business is transferred to Starkki- offices. Both chains will be retained and will continue to have featured locations. Product and service range is expanded and our offices will continue to meet the needs of customers in both chains. In the future, DT Finland Oy will invest in Starkki and Puukeskus through the development of a strong multi-channel service and shops and activities will be developed to support the e-commerce needs.
