Rusta’s Norwegian expansion is accelerating.
This autumn, the Swedish discount department store chain so far has officially planned to open five new units.
The latest contracts are for Tiller in Trondheim and Krokstad in Buskerud.
Previously announced are the establishments at Strømmen, in Åsane, in Kristiansand, at Gjøvik and at Alnabru. Tiller will open in November and Krokstad Senter next spring.
“There are several factors that matters when we choose our locations, but we have a need for good space and target locations that already have merchants in the construction and home and interior segment. At Tiller Torget and Krokstad Senter we are located close to supporting and competitive businesses”, says Thomas F. Erlandsen, CEO of Rusta Norway in a statement from the landlord Sektor Group.
“Rusta will be a good complement at Tiller Torget. Recently G-Max and Elkjøp Megastore have opened which together brings a good injection to the centre”, says Finn Dybdalen, property manager at Tiller Torget.
Tør Nickelsen, property director at Sektor, says that the refurbishing of Krokstad with a priority for home and interior is perfect for Rusta and will be valuable for the whole area of Buskerud Storsenter.
