Siba wants to take back its lost position in Örebro.
A brand new store opens this spring in Boglundsängen’s retail park close to the motorway.
This also means the Aspholmen-store will close.
Just over three years ago Siba chose to leave the dominating shopping center in Örebro, Marieberg, after aggressive establishments by Media Markt and Elgiganten.
The smaller store at Aspholmen was retained. It should now be closed down and the business moved northeast, press officer Nora Ay confirms to It24.se.
Boglundsängen, a business park in eastern Örebro, that began with a Eurostop, is undergoing a major facelift and expansion and is in addition to Siba also to host a new Rusta which opens in the spring. Already in the area is a Citygross, Systembolaget, Ica Maxi, a Plantagen garden center and a Biltema store and more.
“Many of Siba’s stores were rebuilt in 2014. With the new Siba store in Örebro, we make a greater effort and thus also mark our belief in the city and commerce. Above all, we will be more readily available to both existing and new customers, “says Sales Director, Urban Solander.
W-Invest Fastigheter AB is the landlord.
“With both new homes and new trade areas as breeding grounds, there are all prerequisites for continued positive development in Boglundsängen. Not at least when the area is located within the bicycle and walking distance for about 65 000 inhabitants but also because of the many well-known commercial players that are available and are on their way to the area, “says Johan Willerman, CEO.
