Building products sales increase online. Skånska Byggvaror increased their Nordic sales by 24.5 percent in 2014.
This year new initiatives are due to launch more sales in Sweden and Norway – and a partnership with Finnish chain Sarokas is set.
2014 was Skanska Byggvaror most successful year since its inception 1965th
With growth at a record high of 24.5 percent orders received exceeded 600 million SEK and operating income was above 8 percent.
Growth was attributable to an increase in sales in almost all product groups, store expansion in Sweden, strong growth in Norway and iproduct launches.
Skånska Byggvaror grew by 21 percent in the Swedish market, which was significantly stronger than the index in construction and hardware industry. Meanwhile, sales grew by 65 percent in Norway while profitability increases and the brand has been strengthened.
”We have experienced a fantastic sales performance in 2014. We pass for the first time half a billion and reaches another milestone, 600 MSEK. Our organization has made a major effort to develop the company and the offering. Something that now gives us the strength to go on,” says Anders Johansson Eickhoff, CEO of Skånska Byggvaror.
In 2015, new initiatives will be launched in Sweden and Norway that can accelerate sales further. In the Finnish market, a conservatory venture is launched together with the building trade chain Sarokas.
”Our expansion continues at a rapid pace during 2015. We will invest in digital stores and e-commerce, customer service, and in even more physical stores. The goal is to reach more customers, just when and where our customers want to reach us and buy from us. We simply want to be the building materials trade best player in omnichannel,” says Anders Johansson Eickhoff in a comment
Skånska Byggvaror is an independent company with four stores in Sweden and two in Norway with the majority of sales online.
