Nordic optician chain Synsam aquires franchising stores in Lohja and Varkaus.
Synsam Finland today extended its network of owned opticians’ shops with Lohjan Silmäoptikko Synsamin and Optisyke Synsam Varkauden
The acquisition increases Synsam’s owned units in Finland to 33.
Synsam Finland’s President and CEO Vesa Mars says the franchise stores buying is a natural part of the Synsam next few years growth strategy in Finland for the Nordic optician chain.
Synsam chain is the market leader with nearly 25 percent market share in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. In Finland, the aim is to grow significantly in the coming years and at the same time to increase the number of opticians’ shops.
”Lohja and Varkaus’ stores are in good shape, have a qualified staff and already have the Synsam range and look, so they offer Synsam Finland an excellent growth opportunity,” says Vesa Mars.
