Viking Line has opened the Baltic Sea’s first specialty store in design, decor and beauty.

”We hope to bring the concept to our other six ships,” says Eva Rehnström, Purchasing Manager Sales and Beauty at Viking Line.

The shop Home & Lifestyle is located onboard Åland Cruiser Rosella. The shop offers Scandinavian design classics combined with trendy spa products for people interested in interior design. Among the design classics are brands such as Georg Jensen, Marimekko and Iittala that will be sold together with spa products such as Yvonne Ryding, Balmuir and Rituals. The range will be updated seasonally.

”Interest in home and interior is a strong and sustained trend and the demand from our travelers for this type of products is large. Therefore, we are proud to now be able to dedicate a special store with selected details for the home. The concept will be continuously evaluated to see if we can eventually bring it to our other six ships,” says Eva Rehnström.

Rosella runs daily between Kapellskär and Mariehamn and has this year undergone an upgrade of the cafeteria on board. Meanwhile, a new shop next to the classic duty free shop is taking shape. The shop opened March 18, 2016.
